A rare joint appearance, filed by the Human Liaison Officer for the benefit of the international office in England, who were on the call and demanded evidence.
It is unusual to have both directors on the railing at once. Oscar generally prefers a solo shift, and Alice generally prefers to be wherever the carrots are. This morning, at 4:39 a.m., both were present simultaneously: Alice already at the basket, Oscar holding position further along the rail, maintaining his customary buffer.
The occasion was marked, at the request of the England office, by holding a laptop up to the veranda so the mascots could be seen live on the evening call. Alice looked directly into the camera. Oscar looked directly away from it. Both responses were considered entirely in character and were warmly received by all attendees.

Our friends in England — for whom 4:30 a.m. in Brisbane is a civilised evening — have adopted Alice and Oscar as the official mascots of the standing video call. Meeting invitations may be sent to the mascots directly. Attendance is not guaranteed and, in Oscar’s case, actively discouraged by Oscar.
The joint appearance concluded when the carrot supply was exhausted, at which point both directors departed in different directions, as is protocol. A resupply has been requested. Management is, as ever, aware.
